An ab initio periodic study of NiO supported at the Pd(100) surface. Part 2: The nonstoichiometric [Ni.sub.3][O.sub.4] phase
Article Abstract:
A computational study is presented which describes the structure and properties of a substoichiometric two-dimensional monatomic in the height phase of nickel oxide, c(4 x 2)-[Ni.sub.3][O.sub.4], which is newly found to epitaxially grow under special deposition conditions on the (100) face of palladium. It is found that the role of the Pd substrate is crucial for the formation of c(4 x 2)-[Ni.sub.3][O.sub.4].

Isomoorphous substitution of transition-metal ions in the nanoporous nickel phosphate VSB-5
Article Abstract:
The transition-metal-incorporated nickel phosphate molecular sieves (TMI-VSB-5) are hydrothermally synthesized at 453 K in weak basic conditions under microwave irradiation. The study demonstrated the nanoporous VSB-5 has a versatile framework to accommodate various TMIs with several oxidation states and symmetries.
